The European Consumer Centre in UK and Ireland have engaged The Mediation Room to run a six month pilot of cross border consumer disputes. The cases will be mediated and adjudicated by ourselves at The Internet Ombudsman. Retailers will find participation less costly than fighting cases in the courts. The Ministry of Justice for England and Wales has begun a pilot using TheMediationRoom.com for the online mediation of cases issued in the Small Claims Court. See our platform. 29/09/07

Following a succesful first phase, the leading online payment service, PayPal, have now contracted with TheMediationRoom.com and The ADR Group to run Phase 2 adjudication pilot for disputes on eBay transactions including retailer sales. See ADROnline.co.uk 02/08/07

NIH and NMB
Two US Government agencies, the National Institutes of Health and the National Mediation Board have acquired licences from The Mediation Room for the provision of branded versions of the platform for the resolution of workplace disputes.NIH Online Mediation platform 20/04/07

We have now launched our workplace dispute platform at Workplace Mediation Online. On the site you will be able to download our response to the DTI consultation on the Gibbons Report. We are currently inviting employers into a pilot to experience online mediation as an aid to grievance handling. 06/07/07

The Law Council of Australia
The Law Council of Australia, the member body for all State Law Societies, has approved arrangements reached by its ADR section for an LCA branded version of The Mediation Room for use by its 40,000 lawyer members throughout Australia. Baycorp to use The Mediation Room

Baycorp, the largest source of data-based business intelligence in Australia, is, in conjunction with Australian mediation network, LEADR, to use The Mediation Room for online debt recovery and credit rating disputes.

Barristers set, Quadrant Chambers of London, are the latest to sign up to a branded Mediation Room platform and online mediation training package.

IT Dispute Mediation

The Mediation Room announces an IT and Internet dispute service, both online and meeting based. The platform will house documents, links and evidence submitted by both parties. A panel of expert advisors are on hand to assist the parties and the mediator.

New Distance Learning Course in Online Mediation

The Mediation Room and The ADR Group annouce the launch of their distance learning course for mediators in online mediation. The course is self run entirely online and includes live roleplay. Accreditation will qualify the students to join TMR's case referral panel.

New India and China Mediation Service
The Mediation Room announce arrangements reached with mediators in India and China for them to use their online platform to mediate in disputes between UK based Indian and Chinese importers from exporters in India and China. Mediators can be booked through the usual form at The Mediation Room.

Telcos Turn to CTO for Rapid Disputes Resolution

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation has announced a partnering with The Mediation Room under which TMR will provide a dedicated and branded version of the platform as well as mediators for use by its ICT company members and regulators throughout 51 countries. The announcement can be seen on the CTO Website.

eBay head visits Merseyside to announce a new UK online dispute resolution service by The Claim Room.- May 2005

Colin Rule, Director of Online Dispute Resolution at eBay announced at a Merseyside ICT breakfast meeting in Liverpool that eBay has invited The Claim Room and their partner the ADR Group, a leading European mediation organisation, to provide and run an eBay consumer dispute ODR platform in the UK and Australia. Merseyside ICT Director, Steve Smith, said the move was a coup for an innovative SME and a boost for the ICT sector.
